There's something deadly already? Granted, I'm not debating that, but a new special doesn't need to be more deadly, just different (maybe someone does have a better idea how to make it different, as I don't know much about knives, admittedly). Still, some people might (want to) fight with daggers/knives and not use backstab.

Also, don't count out slam, kick, knee and elbow. These are pretty strong specials available to everyone.

Yes, but I'm not saying that there aren't enough strong specials available for everyone, I'd rather like to see more specials that *won't* be used by everyone, because they'd depend on your weapon of choice. Those you mentioned don't, basically everyone uses them, so they don't excactly create a diversity of fighting styles.

I'd like to see several basic and advanced specials for each weapon type, others that can be done only with two weapons (and maybe require a decent two handed skill to start using them) and so on. Most of those you mentioned don't use a weapon at all. Also, the damage you do with elbow and knee depends a lot on the armour you wear, and most knife-fighters will only be lightly armoured, so they are of limited use to them when compared to a fighter clad in shiny chainmail from head to toe.

Maybe when you get to 60 in leap attack a new special could become available.

leap [ 60 ] => shank [X]

>help shank
NAME
shank - make multiple quick stabs into your enemy.

SYNOPSIS
shank <target>

DESCRIPTION
You move close to your enemy and make three quick stabs into them. It is a piercing attack that can only be used with a knife which does little damage but causes to heavy blood loss.

Note that this skill requires profound knowledge in the "leap attack" skill.

Also I like that this thread went from a discussion about the power of the Crusaders to talking about new knife specials 8)

DEUS VULT!!! (God wills it)

Let us burn the heathens from Asador, let us raze their dark and hellish fortress, and drive the bone-wearing, blood-drinking bastards into the ocean!!!

*wonders what would happen if Asador would be dominated by normal people yet still worship evil deities*

I'd still want to raze it. Asador's evil. Evil need to die. :P
But it would be sort of interesting.
