Defence

#1 Post by Delmon » Tue Jun 26, 2007 5:10 pm

"This indicates your ability to defend yourself and avoid
attacks. This skill is important for your defence fighting
with or without weapons."

So defence only affects dodging or in other works avoiding attacks? What else does it affect?

Thank you!

The skill 'defence' means mostly dodging attacks.
Jumping aside, steping back or similar.
It is most important during unarmed combat.
If you fight with a weapon the parry-skill counts more, but thew defence skill will still have a big influence.

Thanks

Is it more beneficial, if you use weapons, to set dodging lower so that you can raise your parry stat higher?

Or...
Can setting defend to more dodging raise parry skill as well? I don't think so but just wondering.

And...
Does counter raise parrying as well as fencing?

Using a weapon has the advanatage that you can doge and parry and have so a better chance to avoid a hit, special them you have low skills.
You can set doge very high, but this does not mean that you never will parry. So you will improve parry then you wield a weapon in a combat. The progess will be a bit slower, because the skills is not used so often.
