Casting...

#1 Post by matusalem » Tue Jul 07, 2009 8:40 am

Out of boredom and a desire to see how other people see their own characters, (mainly boredom) I would like to hypothetically ask Geas players when casting actors for the Geas major motion picture, whom do you see playing your character. (Living or dead.) I'll go first:

For Matusalem, I see either Marty Feldman or Don Knots. Should a living actor be required, I suppose Steve Buscemi would do in a pinch.

Hmm. That's a tough one. I could see Summer Glau playing Arwenth. I'd love to see Audrey Hepburn do it but that's because I love Audrey Hepburn.

And I must say...From now on it's gonna be lurking in the back of my mind to see Matusalem as Barney Fife :D...

Psh easy, Christian Bale with more scars and longer hair. He already practiced the dark brooding voice Luminier has in the Dark Knight, hes perfect! Either him or Stephen Moyer.

Summer Glau would be pretty sick I think for Arwenth
and marty feldman is much too buggy eyed for my matusalem, id have to go with don knotts

I have a hard time deciding, but something between Cate Blanchett and Hermione Norris, you pick.

I'd have a blast imagining Matusalem as Buscemi!

Hmmm. I'd say Cate Blanchett mainly out of familiarity.

And Luminier sounds like Chiristian Bale in Dark Knight? I'd always kinda heard the voice of Hugo Weaving as V from V for Vendetta...

For Damanta... I'd have to say either Orlando Bloom (more Pirates of the Caribbean than Troy) or Jarred Leto.

Haha actually come to think of it Hugo Weavings from V for Vendetta voice is probably closer to what I would like Luminier to sound like. Good idea Arwenth.

Jared Leto is cooler in my opinion Damanta, but Orlando is a ladies man.

Blanchett would be cool for Delia for sure.

Anyone going for Christopher Walken? One of my favourites!

I'm pretty sure Queen Gwenlanea has the face and voice of Christopher Walken.

I could imagine Vlad Morrowstar as Walken, the more I think of it, the more it fits.

Nice.

I can just imagine Queen Gwenlanea complaining about the couriers in Walkens voice. Funny stuff.

Leto FTW.

That image is all the convincing it should take.

As for Walken as Gwenlanea...I don't think I ever needed to contemplate Walken with point ears in pretty dresses...

Someone tell me why I envisioned Phaeniis as Leonard Nimoy?

Not as bad as me seeing Veriya as Lucy Lawless....

I have no idea who would play Rafael. Anthony Perkins, maybe?

The Trial, but older, lot less nervous.
Dislike his voice, however.
Definitely somewhere where he does not have a mother complex.

Anyway, no idea. Hard to find a memorable middle-aged actor with short black hair who's not particularly dreamy and does not have terribly masculine features and looks a bit melancholy.
