Themesongs

#1 Post by Arwenth » Tue Jan 05, 2010 5:31 pm

I was wondering if anyone has or has ever thought about a theme-song for their character. If so what would it be?

Matusalem's theme song could be any of the songs Ennio Morricone wrote for Sergio Leone's Man with No Name Trilogy. (Fistful of Dollars, For a Few Dollars More, and The Good The Bad and The Ugly.) Any one will do in a pinch.

I have to say I looked through all of the music i listen to and I can't find anything fitting for Luminier. I found some nice tracks for other characters though.... hehehe

One of my favourite themesong in general is of Conan The Barbarian "Anvil of Crom" especially because of the introduction:

"Let me tell you of the days of high adventure."

Since it seems to fit towards fantasy.
Who would have thought Conan becoming king of California eventually?

I keep looking but I can't find one that fits Arwenth. I think Matusalem's choices are pretty spot on, I'd say the theme from the good the bad and the ugly is my favorite to imagine. As if I needed more reason to think of Matusalem as Geas' own Clint Eastwood :D

Verdi's Requiem: Dies Irae (Day of Wrath) is a pretty awesome tune I keep coming back to but I can't think of what it'd be a good theme for...

Luminier, you should know better than to throw a comment like this out there, without providing details. :P

Lanyara, it's funny that you mention Anvil of Crom - when I saw the topic I thought of something like it for Luminier. I'm sure there's an actually appropriate term that musicians would use to describe this, but I think it has just the right level of badassness for him.

And since Arwenth won't do it herself, I'll go ahead and proclaim Dies Irae as her theme.

I'm really not sure what I would pick for Caelia, but now I'm really in the mood to listen to movie soundtracks, and more than a bit annoyed that the monkeys running my network block Pandora.

Have you tried Grooveshark? I'm not sure if it'd be blocked or not but it's worth a shot.
And as for Dies Irae...Man...I wish Arwenth were that intense...One day she'll train into it...One day

Wow, I'm having a lot of trouble thinking of one for Damanta. Any ideas?

I know two peoples problems for a theme song can be solved with Black Sabbath.

Iron Man - Black Sabbath - Luminier
The Wizard - Black Sabbath - Delia

Lol. That's just how I pictured Mogwai. ;)

I have a whole playlist for a character I'm writing a novel about. :)

Don't think I have any for Desi though...

One former character's theme song was Battle of Sudden Flame by Blind Guardian:

Oh Lord, here I stand
For all Noldor
From now on my life
Is my gift to you
Just lead my fate to the victory of elves

Just change Noldor to Kisah, and that was his pre-battle prayer. :) Aw, I miss some of my old chars... <3

Suddenly I wish Damanta and Luminier actually existed so they could have a UFC match and come out to their respective theme songs.

It'd be great, until Luminier broke Damanta's pretty boy face....

For darling Andy, my first impression is Blind Guardian's Carry the Blessed Home.

lyrics: http://www.lyricsmania.com/lyrics/blind ... 45210.html

I like what Delmon put for Mogwai. Fits pretty well.

Somebody needs Itt Van a Gumimaci, and I'm inclined to say Stilgar (not that many of you young whippershnappers remember him), just because it's in Hungarian :D And it's creepy.
