most folks i know say 'sweet!' when they like something a lot. me, i'm not a big fan of sweets and prefer savory food, so... not at all ironic.

Today I got sent home sick. I almost passed out and Doc decided it wouldn't be very safe to have me monitoring anesthesia in this state, so he told me to go home, and rest up.

I feel bad leaving my coworkers with the full surgery load and the almost full appointment load in the afternoon. I offered to do the lab-work, which can be done sitting down, but they said they'd feel better if I was home in bed, and to hurry up and kick this illness so I can go back to work.

And so I'm missing out on an eye-surgery that I was looking forward to assisting in.

Just finished four days of shooting a horror film. Exhausted and sore (I had to fall down stairs!). But it was fun and I think it'll turn out really good. Can't wait to see it. :)

a friend of mine has a film making the festival rounds (and garnering accolades - i'm really happy for him!) called 'wanderlost'. it's sort of horror. maybe y'all will find your films at the same fest.
good luck!

Abnormal Psychology. We're studying Hollywood's depictions of psychological illness.

I've spent the morning dreading work today. Cashier at a supermarket right before Thanksgiving. Exuberance. And to make it even better today is the first day I'll be without my trainer to assist me; I just started a week or two ago. And I'm working ALL week. What a great time to give me more hours and put me alone. Talk about throwing to the wolves. :P

Also, I think I'm going to start saying "rad."

Yesterday I made 5 pounds of peppermint fudge for the fire department open house.

Tonight I am trying to decide what other flavor/flavors to make. Any ideas?

Oh, and considering the fact that I carry an epi-pen with me for a SEVERE chocolate allergy, anything involving chocolate is out. I can handle white chocolate since its not really chocolate, but I can't even *touch* regular chocolate without having a reaction. And eating it is just plain suicidal for me.

Tonight I rolled up my sleeve for the Red Cross again. I told them I was a hard stick, and that I needed their head vampire, but it still took two people fishing with the needle to get my blood.
