I don't usually listen to classical music (Not because I don't like it but because I have a hard time keeping my attention on instrumental music if I'm not playing it myself) but that's a very beautiful piece especially that rise and fall in intensity towards the latter end of it.

And to jump on the tail end of the music thread

I'm a music nut. I have a collection of original albums boasting items such as Frampton comes alive, Physical Graffti, Bad (I wanna trade it for Thriller) and Tougher Than Leather as well as newer stuff I pick up like The White Stripes. I saw further back people mentioned pandora, to which I throw out Grooveshark.com It's like pandora for when you want a particular song.

For one thing, you don't have to worry about liking the lyrics too.

A trick is to listen to songs in languages you don't understand.

Yeah, that crossed my mind after the post.

One of my guilty pleasures is J-Pop for that reason.

Its more than twice as long in reality, I like pretty much everything, as for Jpop as you mentioned I've always like the pillows.

Recently I've been listening to lots of musica en español--my colleagues down there called my music crap, so I gave theirs a chance. The punk and metalish stuff are actually pretty cool.

Soda Stereo, Attaque 77, Heroes del Silencio, to name a couple. My best friend listened to J-Pop...drove me crazy, especially when she centered parties around it...

I listen to Jpop when I'm in certain moods, a party mood is not one of them, I think I'd want to punch someone in the face by the end of said party.

When I'm in the mood for some entertainment, I ask my two-year-old daughter to sing songs for me. She is learning lots of new words at her age, and she can do a pretty good job of repeating a song back to me if she hears it a few times.

It doesn't appear to matter which language the song is in, so she will sing anything from "Itsy Bitsy Spider" to 800-year-old Catholic hymns, leading to conversations like this with random strangers:

"That's really cute, but what song is that?"
"Oh, it's Pange Lingua. She's singing in Latin."
