Well, I'm sitting at the fire house right now. Already been out on several calls for trees in the road, closing down roads because of flooding, trees on wires, wires in the road, and other such hazards.
I can't believe the stupidity of some people. They're out cruising around instead of staying home where its safe. Half of the people I see at these road blocks just drive right through like we're closing the roads for our own amusement. I know most of you are not in my neck of the woods, but where ever you are, if the fire-department or any other emergency service closes down a road, PLEASE do us all a favor and listen to us. We're trying to keep everyone as safe as we can.

Some people don't have the sense they're born with. Just hope darwinian theory weeds them out.

Quick update. Back home now, and warm and dry for the first time all day. Obviously the internet is back up. Still might go back down, since in a couple hours the winds are due to pick back up, with gusts up to 50 mph until after sunrise.
