Killing time online

#1 Post by Drake » Fri Jun 24, 2005 7:50 pm

now shall ye know why code comes slow from me!

And I fully expect Abh to beat me for wasting time with these examples... just as soon as he finishes wasting some time with them himself.

http://www.yetisports.org/ <- Beat upon poor and defenceless penguins

http://www.battleships.f-active.com/ <- Sunk my productivity at work with this one many times

http://science.nasa.gov/Realtime/JTrack ... ack3D.html <- Yeah, I'm a geek

So, well, gimme some links to time killers you use! I wanna kill more time

As we all know from Geas by now, the ranger in this comic isn't suicidal enough.

Order of the stick

#10 Post by jash » Mon Oct 17, 2005 2:30 pm

Thanks, www.giantitp.com/cgi-bin/GiantITP/ootscript?SK=1 had me rolling.
I stopped playing AD&D just before 3rd edition came out - never wanted to play since. Now I am dying to join a party.
Oh my poor old split sides.

My killing time on-line lostly stretches to laughing at the differences between the international news in different countries, BBC, Guardian, Korean and Chinese news is good too. Obviously American news... You have to laugh or you will cry.
Also I read SF here for example, http://www.freesfonline.de/Authors.html

This story rocks. Worth reading to the end. Ten minutes well spent. Space time for springers... http://www.scifi.com/scifiction/classic ... ve/leiber/

Alas now I am old and have almost given up on the pleasures of youth (drugs, RP, Drink Sex Computer games, loud music and partying) and mostly enjoy the pleasures of early middle age (Meditation, Sex, Computer games, loud music and partying)

Order of the stick... Hehehehehehehehehe.....

On-line gaming comic.

#12 Post by jash » Wed Feb 08, 2006 9:43 am

I cannot reccommend this enough.

The order of the stick is good. This however is mature cynical comic genius at it's best.

http://www.thenoobcomic.com/daily/strip001.html

And it seems to just be getting better. More oriented around on-line gaming humour than D&D style stuff. Anyone who has searched the mmorpg's for something good and just found l33t infested....... Anyway, see for yourself.

Good recommendation! The first 50 or so strips I read till now were highly entertaining. And it definitely can be applied to Muds as well. ;)

You know, seems that japanese publicity is based on burning your brain from the inside. Some kind of new scientific method to turn us into zombies but... it works, "I want pocky pocky!!"

Here is one free web-browser game...

Bit hard to start, but seems interesting enough.

Another web-browser game, this one actually seems quite good, and gives something to do while mining or gathering herbs :)
