I'm pretty reluctant to return unless I know that there are compelling characters and stories going on, but people have a pretty damned silent attitude about IC goings-on over this forum, so I've no idea whether it's worth the honestly heavy investment to reinsert myself.
Get online, check out for some days and decide then.

After a five year absence, I find the muds changed. Most people I roleplayed with either don't play or play alternates (to which I really don't know which honestly). The story is different. Times changed, but there is still a great story.

Vacation! :-)

I'll be gone for the next week (roughly), having some vacation. See you all when I get back.

Devi is around but I am sooo rusty playing her, so she might be kinder or meaner or statelier than you remember. Story wise, we could always cook something up!

It is very strange to return. it can be hard to play an older character (they don't fit in at all -- like relics!). But I have to say -- all the characters I've met have been excellent. There are some truly especially terrific halflings and tshaharks around. Kudos to you all. :)

Gonna be on the US for almost 10 days, so my playing times will be sketchy at best!

(If you live in the NYC area and want to meet a fellow Geasian, send me a PM!)

Marika will be absent now. She might come back later but probably not soon. I come back from work very tired and roleplaying her is just impossible. Also, I've felt stifled as a player by some aspects of the game.

I've had a lot of fun on Geas and I do hope there's more to come. Just not now.

Going to miss you around, running into Marika was always one of the more fun moments of playing. ^_^

I agree, Marika will be missed. She was a unique character! Look forward to seeing you around in the future.

I suppose that I'm sporadically back for a bit. Sort of.

Hello,

My schedule at work has permanently changed due to a promotion I received (yay), but as a result I am working more hours and am home at different times than I used to be over the last years.

Most likely this will have a significant impact on exactly zero characters, considering mine is often off in his own little fantasyland most of the time anyway, but hey, it's worth mentioning I guess.

Weekends as usual.

Work schedules kill, tiredness is overbearing and there is barely enough energy to lead a normal active life so my Geastime has been from little to none lately. Luckily, I slipped my right hand into this razor sharp metal thingy and the good doctor said I have to stay put and rest my hand for a week. Maybe Geas can be counted towards light exercise?

Dom4? Wow.. played Dom2 and Dom3. Didn't know they'd release Dom4. GREAT game, crappy graphics, but hell, I play muds, so who cares for graphics anyways!

Never heard of it before either, but it looked cool, so I'm out also. Difference is, Delia will be playing the game and I will be learning how to play it. (large learning curve & manual isn't out yet)

Dominions has a pretty steep learning curve and while familiarity with 3 helps, things have changed a bit in the 4. There have been some "Why my mages cannot craft this item/summon commander which I relied upon?" moments and you cannot go about designing your pretender as you used to and expect completely familiar results. Good changes so far though.

I must warn people though, the game devours time.

I guess have some extra time on my hands is one of the few benefits of being furloughed...
