cleave

If it's no bug or an idea, but it's still MUD-related, it goes here.

cleave

its about "cleave". Apart from its a special, I would never type it in as a clearic

Easy fix (for wizards): replace the asral command cleave with cabandon.

Yeah, that is a troublesome overlap, especially since I know there are some Asralites who would use axes.

If there isn't already an "are you sure" dialog for leaving any main guild, it would be good to have one as a safeguard.

There is an "are you sure" dialog. It also requires a certain argument.

However, I changed the name of the command to "cabandon" for all the paranoid Asrals out there.

I get rather paranoid about the cleave/cabandon command. I fear that in a drunken rage (I often drink and MUD, who doesn't?), I may do something stupid like quit the guild. So much so, that I have my client turn the command into an emote of Isen smacking himself in the head :P

Wow. I read the first sentence and already typed up the response of "alias cabandon emote slaps himself across the face" before I read the rest of the post and realized you had already done that exact thing. :P

Don't worry, Isengorn, I do the same thing in the MUD and even in real life. When I'm in a car, I compulsively lock the door because I'm afraid that somewhere on the highway I'll lose all self control, opening the door and launching myself into traffic.

The worst thing is that in one of the cars I normally drive in, pulling on the handle automatically unlocks the door for ease of opening. It makes me insane.

It's the only thing that has really made me wear seatbelts.

Anyway, more random reasons I'm crazy...

I have something similiar. I feel like I'm going to jump down my apartment (9 stairs). It's weird because I really don't want to.. still those ideas stick in your head. The worst thing about these things is that they can infect others..

Its like the urge to stare at unbelievably fat/ugly/idiotic people on the street? Like you see someone that ugly you feel that can't be real and you just turn back or follow him/her a bit, just to be sure you were not mistaken, he/she is really that fat/ugly/idiot as he/she looks?
