Sending mail to disguised people

If it's no bug or an idea, but it's still MUD-related, it goes here.

Sending mail to disguised people

#1 Post by Desiderea » Wed Dec 29, 2010 7:48 am

Does anyone know how sending mail to disguised or otherwise incognito people with, say, assumed names works? How do you make sure your mail goes to the right person? As an example, I've ran into two people who've introduced themselves as "Ghost." If I send a mail to "Ghost" who would it go to? (Whether one is the char's actual name or not, I'm not sure.) I've since remembered one of them with a different name. Does your mail go to the name you've remembered or the actual char with that name? And if you remember someone, but they were disguised, does the mail still go to that char, disguise or not?

If you remember someone with a name, and mail that name it goes to the person you remembered that name with. (Thats why you can't remember two people as the same name)

If you remembered some random character a Luminier and sent them a mail, it would go to them, not me. Disguised or not, it does matter. As you as you have met and remembered the disguise, you can mail them.
The right man in the wrong place can make all the difference in the world.
