Kill credits

If it's no bug or an idea, but it's still MUD-related, it goes here.

Kill credits

#1 Post by nogem » Thu Apr 13, 2006 1:58 am

I noticed a bit of something in the game recently. When you knock something out and it is bleeding to high heaven, but you step away, for whatever reason, and come back in you do not get the 'You killed the <whatever>' message unless you hit the thing again before it dies. This even happens when you are the only who fought or touched the thing. Without wanting the code revealed, my question is: does this mean we aren't getting the XP for the kill? Do we actually have to sit there for how ever long it takes a target to bleed out rather than moving on to kill the next thing if we want the XP from the hunt?
You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think.

Yes. The experience you receive for the actual kill is quite negligible, though.
