Fatigue and Singing

If it's no bug or an idea, but it's still MUD-related, it goes here.

Fatigue and Singing

#1 Post by triska » Wed Sep 17, 2008 6:52 pm

I did not notice before until I started looking at my 'hp' more closely to check out the new fatigue breathless etc. that now when I play an instrument and sing I get fatigued. I am resting after meditating and full 'hp' play a cord on the castanets and tire stop playing instantly back to extremely alert.
Opening your eyes you return from the spirit world.
You stand up and your mind feels clear and relaxed.
You sit down to rest a while.
>You are physically feeling very well and mentally in full vigour.
You are extremely alert
.
>You play a chord and start to sing 'Minstrelboy'.
>You feel your strength increasing.
You feel your agility increasing.
You feel your constitution increasing.
You play on the castanets and hum the melody of 'Minstrelboy'.
You are physically feeling very well and mentally slightly degraded.
You are very alert.

>You play on the castanets and hum the melody of 'Minstrelboy'.
You stop playing and singing 'Minstrelboy'.
You feel your strength fading.
You feel your agility fading.
You feel your constitution fading.
>You are physically feeling very well and mentally slightly degraded.
You are extremely alert
.
In combat it can drop from extremely alert to alert then go back up as soon as I stop playing the instrument.
You are physically feeling very well and mentally slightly degraded.
You are extremely alert
.
>The growling menacing male nibbler is bleeding.

You are alert.

>
You thrust your right fist at the growling menacing male nibbler's
right hand and drill it deep into his right hand, causing a deep wound.
The growling menacing male nibbler wakes up.
The growling menacing male nibbler is bleeding.

The growling menacing male nibbler sits up.
You play on the castanets and hum the melody of 'Minstrelboy'.

The growling menacing male nibbler comes to his feet.

The growling menacing male nibbler is ready to fight again.

You feint an attack with your right fist at the growling menacing male
nibbler's right hand. As your enemy tries to defend himself, you suddenly
shift your attack, which leaves his defences open to your next attack.
You stop playing and singing 'Minstrelboy'.
You feel your strength fading.
You feel your agility fading.
You feel your constitution fading.
>
You thrust your right fist at the growling menacing male nibbler's
right hand and drill it into his right hand.
The growling menacing male nibbler is bleeding.

You are physically feeling very well and mentally somewhat degraded.
You are extremely alert
I suppose I am asking has anyone else noticed this ? Is it correct or a bug that when you sing you lose mental and physical ?

If you then use a special you become breathless as well as losing mental and physical and I have been trapped in the room because of it.

It also seems odd that when you are sitting down but play your instrument and sing you get some fatigue as well as the expected brain drain,

Notice how the song in question is raising and lowering your constitution? Higher constitution means a higher fatigue level. So you start with 300/300 energy (these numbers are just randomly chosen), play war, increase con, which increases your fatigue to 300/350, so you appear only very alert instead of extremely alert. Then you stop, con drops back to normal, and you're back to 300/300 fatigue, showing as extremely alert again.
