Re: Mages vs. Clerics
To be honest, Killing things is alright, but I've always thought it is way more awesome to be taking hits from everything in the room and not even taking so much as a scratch from it. I only wish there was some way to have an "armour" against miracles that was effective as the armour I wear. But then again, I have to have -some- weaknesses =P.
Wizards are awesome, I've played this game for so long, definately longer than any game I've played.

I am not sure if I even want to witness it...An elite warrior with superb eq backed up by a priest and warded against miracles/magic by a mage. *Shudders*I only wish there was some way to have an "armour" against miracles that was effective as the armour I wear.

And yet, it remains entirely possible. If I ever learn magic it will be specifically to armour myself against miracles. Then I will be INVINCIBLE! Mauhahaha! *imitates russian goldeneye dude*

Problem - if it protects you from their miracles, it protects you from my miracles, so I won't be able to bring you back to life if you die some other way.luminier wrote:And yet, it remains entirely possible. Re: Mages vs. Clerics
You could always just learn the language and try to win the favour of a mage who'd supply you with the scrolls you need
Of course such amateur castings might just spectacularly backfire on you. It takes only one fumble to take just about all your combat capability away

Re: Mages vs. Clerics
I might be tempted to provide such amateurs with scrolls. At least if the scrolls
have armageddon type capabilities and use the amateur as a target. This way
they could at least learn something.
