Players IRL
Well, since Luminier put a picture of himself on the forums, I thought it'd be kinda neat to see the player behind the character. Here's my picture, taken inside my house, at 12:30 at night. If it's too dark or something, I can get a different one.

I know, I know - I'm absolutely dashing. Nowadays I keep my facial hair in check.

Andy is way more buff, tomboy, and oddly tanned IMO. that 'Andy' is WAY too girly, pretty.isengoo wrote:poAndy - exactly how I picture Andy in game. Except with chainmail and stuff.

Andy's based on me, but a little less...me-ish and more Andy-ish. I'm also more violently impulsive than she is.luminier wrote:Andy is way more buff, tomboy, and oddly tanned IMO. that 'Andy' is WAY too girly, pretty.isengoo wrote:poAndy - exactly how I picture Andy in game. That picture was from prom a few years back: I'm allowed to look feminine once every five years.
My hair is usually a bit shorter than that, and is brown.
I usually wear guy's jeans and military-style shirts, in colours grey, army green and black.
My face doesn't tan--only my forearms and knees.
I've been a tomboy since age 4 (long before Andy).
I'm fairly buff for a chick of my stature: I go on 6 am runs thrice a week, play a few hours of racquetball twice a week, spend a fair amount of time carrying (frequently drunk) people around, and work out on a regular basis.
I am also learning how to beat up policemen. I managed a takedown on a 300 lbs one last week

Tylluan's based on me, too, except Geas doesn't offer a hair colour that's like mine, which is more dark dark red than chestnut. And, people often ask me if I put leaves, twigs &c in my hair on purpose. (I don't - they just end up there a lot...)Andreati wrote: Andy's based on me, but a little less...me-ish and more Andy-ish.

Re: Players IRL
Andy is less violently impulsive than you? Didn't Andy threaten to set Volog ON FIRE? Also, my characters all tend to be warped facets of my own personality, making playing them at times a little disturbing and at others a true joy. Skragna, for instance, is my attempt at blind faith. Other characters are less single minded, like Kasim. Then I've recently started making characters who will, no doubt, bring out the dark urges everyone has... I always like RPing them, but sometimes I find out things about myself that make me shudder... But yeah, my characters all represent some core ideal of myself, and are twisted around it to make them characters.

Re: Players IRL
Ok, here's a couple pictures of me in action. This was taken during one of our training sessions with the fire/rescue squad I belong to. I had to borrow the 'turnout gear' since I don't have a set of my own. I ditched the jacket (along with almost everyone else) because of the heat that night. And that scrub-top is because I had gone to training straight from my paying job.

Re: Players IRL
So I came across this and I of course had to add a picture or two. Most resent from top to bottom. Although I had this epic moment recently and cut all my hair off and haven't had a chance to take new pictures that aren't filled with my sorority sisters or pledges or me holding large amounts of alcohol

My hair is just long enough to pull it back into a ponytail at the nape of my neck. Of course a certain coworker is STILL calling me Pippy from when I had to pull it back into two ponytails behind my ears.
