Favorite pokemon & why
Oshawott has the three syllable appeal like pikachu
Oshawott can learn hydro pump
Plus it looks like a sea otter:

Eevee is my favorite pokemon, although I haven't played past third generation.
Eevee is opportunity, freedom, and youth - and once decided and evolved, serious devotion to its path.
Where lots of Pokemon evolutions seem like simple upgrades, Eevee's stand out.

When I was a kid I loved Flareon for some reason. And Blastoise. He has cannons on his back.

Re: Favorite pokemon & why
I've always been surprised that Pokemon has not been accused of being a gateway into impressionable youths being introduced to the insidious worlds of dog and cock fighting.
I cannot recall the exact year they came out, but I believe I was too old to take an interest in them when this happened. I do recall having a girlfriend who insisted on dressing my dog up as Pikachu for halloween one year. (We broke up.)
Back in my day, we had He-Man, and before you ask, No, we didn't care about the blatant homoerotic subtext. He rode a talking tiger, dammit.

You hear a voice speaking in your mind, telling you "So-and-so is a traitor and
an enemy of the Crusade. The punishment for this crime is death. Go and
execute our will!"

The whole Pokemon stuff passed me as well.
I wasn't too much into He-Man, I more prefered Captain Future.

there must be an age gap, i know i got a really cool gameboy when i was like 6 years old from my grandparents (it was in a transparent case and you could see all the transistors and chips and other neat things inside) and the first game that i got for myself (that i didn't have to share with my sisters) was pokemon blue.
i played that game so much as a kid that i maxed out the amount of time it records as your playtime (255 hours) and i didn't stop playing then either... i remember i used to power train other peoples pokemon at my school to level 100 just for fun... and so my grinding nature was born.

Dragonair. It's a dragon, blue and pretty. End of story. If I ever got one, I'll never level it up to dragonite. Dragonite looks... stupid in my opinion, a really sad story.

Re: Favorite pokemon & why
I'm going to agree with Luminier here, Dragonite is awesome! I have a shiny one on one of my games (not telling which game) and he's level 84 and beating the pkmn leage. He may not be my favorite ever, but he is awesome.
