oh, no, my supersecret superevil superreal plan has totes just been discovered.

I confess, my plan is to become Turian, Abharsair *and* Horwitz, and to merge the two muds to create "Geasgeddon", a desert mud full of PCs who can conquer hunger and thirst by music, anytime, anywhere XD

Folks, a new month has just begun, the votings are reset and the last month we sucked badly, ending up 12th!

Please help the game try to vote this month every 12 hours (or as often as you manage to think of it) and lets try to make it in the top ten again this time

Darn, we dropped to position 21 today :(

I would like to ask you for your opinion considering voting reminders - as you know, for a while I reminded all players once a day, but I was not sure wether this was just annoying or seen as useful.

So, what do you mean, should we remind you once every 12 hours to vote, or shall we better leave it? (EDIT: I will also start a poll onto reminders in another thread)

I also have been in contact with TMS because of our bad ranking this month, and I learned two quite interesting new facts considering voting there, which I will summarize in a "How to vote on TMS"-Note tonight

I don't think getting a reminder to vote is annoying at all. People could easily just ignore it too if they wanted. So I would like the idea of getting a reminder to vote whenever possible. It might be useful to come up with a good system of when to get a reminder, such that if I've already voted and get a reminder to vote an hour later, seems kind of pointless no? But then again, you wouldn't even know the last time I voted, so the reminder can't be timed well at all.

Ok, seems we finished the April at position 23, that has been our worst ranking since months .... Ah well, lets just forget that.

A new month and a new voting is starting tomorrow, let's try to finish in top 20 again this month

And please keep in mind:
Please do not try to cheat the votings in any way, we are playing fair!!!

I wonder how necessary these votes truly are... On the one hand, Geas would massively benefit from fresh blood. On the other hand, is that fresh blood brought in by high rankings?

Who here was first lead to Geas by its numeric rank? (This is not rethoric, this is an actual question of mine.)

I found Geas very easily - I checked the 'enforced roleplay/roleplay required' box and was left with remarkably few alternatives... One of which were Geas.

As an aside, there is very little difference in number of votes needed to get up into 20-30 compared to the sixties, I think...

Geas - rank 56; 40 cast votes
Lensmoor - rank 26; 81 cast votes

The numbers first begin to rise steeply around 15 or so (these are from TMC - I couldn't locate any numbers from TMS). At first rank is Armageddon, which is a positive surprise - I had not expected to find an RP mud at top rank. Actually, there is a surprising amount of high ranking RP muds on TMC - the top ranks of TMS are drowning in H&S. I had not notised that dichotomy before. This renders my question partially moot, though I still think it something interesting to ask.

Edit: corrected acronym TML into correct TMS.
