"Yule" rhymes with "stool," and nothing's cool about stool.

Merry Christmas.

Yule doesn't rhyme with stool. Laughing so much.

It does in America. Like Yul Brynner.

Yule is a modern bastardised spelling of Old English geola, which is pronounced jeola, eo being a diphthong, and o being as in "lot".

Since modern English spelling is hilariously ludicrous, I find it far more logical to go with geola. Of course, if you pronounce "stool" more akin to "steola", then they rhyme.

No no. Here, we pronounce "yule" like Yul Brynner... and we pronounce "stool" like stool... as in, "The doctor checked my stool for worms."

Merry Christmas.

Just returned from a 30h RP and board game marathon with the old Canary Islands Geas crew. Most of you won't remember them, but some do. In any case, in their name and mine, Happy Holiday Season for everyone!
