For me

#2 Post by Drake » Fri Jun 24, 2005 7:33 am

being a crusty old guy, I usually find myself listening to stuff I grew up with.

Guns and Roses being my favourite of them all.
Bon Jovi
Faith No More
Aerosmith
Deff Leppard
Joe Satriani

And as to what I listen to when, well, sorta depends on my mood at the time, when I'm down, I listen to sappy love songs and get more depressed, when I'm angry I listen to something loud and obnoxious.

I listen nearly every kind of music...

BUT, if you have time and guts, download any song from a guy called David Bisbal, listen it for a minute, and then if you are alive after you puke out your own intestines... tell me if you like "latin" music ;)

70's punk and new wave with some 80's in top of it, some "goth" stuff of the 80's like Sister of Mercy and Siouxie and The Banshees. Though the other side of me tends to like older music, jazz and blues of the 1900's and some catchy and obscure 50's and 60's rock songs. Currently i'm listening to classical guitar and russian folk music, so I guess I listen to about anything that catches my fancy.

Metal for the most part. Power metal to be specific. Occasionally I'll dabble in other metal genres; thrash and traditional(Heavy) being the most prominent now that I look at winamp.

Everything that isn't metal in my playlist is some form of rock with a few notable exceptions.

My tastes are quite varied. I primarily listen to classical music, most frequently baroque but also a lot from romantic-era composers. In addition to European classical music, I enjoy Indian Carnatic music as well as sacred and folk musics from around the world.

It is not at all unusual for me to study to the sounds of traditional Eskimo hunting songs, the chants of the Hassidim, Moravian dance songs, zydeco, or spirited Cape Breton fiddling.

Mostly metal..

1. Yngwie Malmsteen
2. Hendrix
3. New wave of british metal
4. Classical (and _I_ like mozart)
5. Medieval folk music
6. Black/death metal (mostly swedish+finnish)

though I try vary.. sometimes I listen to funk (probably the coolest music style) and jazz.

Yay Finnish Death Metal!!!!!

I listen to pretty much anything that's not Rap, Hip-hop, Country or Disco.

Reggae, Rock, Old Rock, Metal, Classical; I like it all. I have to confess that I mostly go for gothy things

My Favorite bands at the moment:

The Killers (rock)
Entwine (Finnish Death Metal)
Blind Guardian (Finnish...power metal?)
Meatloaf (rock)
Billy Joel (rock)
Chumbawamba (rock)

Got any good rock/metal music for me anyone?

Yeah, and if you survived that you should try Camela or Bustamante, that's real hardcore stuff.
