This is an old thread, but I wanted to comment on one thing @Delia wrote:

- Levitating Shaolins!
- "Astral body" leaving the mortal shape and able to explore areas (possibly including to see invisible beings when in astral projection) when meditating for some time (would probably be difficult and drain quite some mana)

It could all be tied to a maxed meditate skill, still.
No idea if such ideas would fit to shaolins though.

Also, they could have access to certain and very low kind of spell-like effects, at least those that could fit to concepts of inner balance (and as a result being "able to do amazing" or unique things)

There is always chi that is tied to meditation and Shao's have a thing or two only for them to use there. Very rare though among the shaos.
