Re: Roleplaying Issues
Hmm Maybe the mages could find the tome used to create the tshahark and turn Luminier into one!!!

Re: Roleplaying Issues
That ritual would be pretty cool to have actually. There might be quite some humans to turn into tshaharks!
Best race: halflings.

Re: Roleplaying Issues
Sorry, but I don't think that mages would be willing to perform such a ritual.
All knowledge is heresy. Yes, you heard me correctly.
It is the nature of religions to thrive on ignorance.

Re: Roleplaying Issues
Why not? Especially if they were able to reverse the ritual. (Which would likely require some powerful things either way, so no changing on a whim, etc.)
Make the game a little more interesting, IMO.

Re: Roleplaying Issues
How would it be a sin against nature? Didn't the tshahark work the first time around? Wouldn't some of them like to be human again? I think so. Could be some good RP, ganandorf

Re: Roleplaying Issues
Sorry, I was referring to turning humans into tshaharks, which is what krelji said mages would probably not be interested in. Guess i should have specified.

Re: Roleplaying Issues
Well, the mages back then most likely had a solid reason to "try" such a ritual (countless insects). This later became a problem (background story, i.e. when tshaharks were "hatred" and hunted down)

Btw something interesting there:
As for mages of today using that ritual ... If such a ritual would exist, components available etc... why would there be no reason for all mages to try that? A mage with his tshahark slave bodyguard roaming the world.

Arborea right now did not seem to forgetthe human kind has forgotten their hatred of the tshahark

Re: Roleplaying Issues
Tshahark....slave? Don't you mean well-paid (in boar meat) tshahark assistant?

Re: Roleplaying Issues
That might not be reliable enough. What if someone offers more boar?
How about this ... a tragic romance ... two human lovers ... and one turns the other into a tshahark (no idea why though ...)

To rescue the lover from teh Sathos. S/He needs to be stronger, and decides to go ahead and become a tshahark, and hope the lover recognizes their new meatsuit.
