Random Piles of Fish and Meat

As the title suggests, several times I have randomly stumbled over a massive pile of fish. Also, the other day in Arborea's park there was several pieces of meat in every area. Where does this stuff come from?

when someone butchers an animal, the meat from the butchering is left over. the fish is from gerrit dumping his fishcart, or someone screwing around.

It is also a sign of the geasian ecosystem being askew. A tshahark's rumbling tummy and a druid's nagging and dust-fingers are necessary to balance things out, no?
