Lol. I do wonder why we call football football. They hardly ever use their feet! It makes much more sense to call soccer football...

It was only recently I learned what N F L meant until then I always thought it meant Nancy Football League.

This was mainly due to the way they have to pad out and wear so much protection when our RUGBY players just go in and get on with the job like REAL men.

The USA team sucks; I will seriously cry if we make it to the finals, and the only time I've cried in the past 5 years was when Dumbledore died in Book 6.

I'm an avid World Cup watcher, and I think that US football is the lamest sport to take up tv air-time...other than golf and baseball. It's been a weird year for the World Cup though....

I love soccer. US football or "handegg" is such a bad, dumb, unnecessarily violent sport.

Things I like in sports:
-More or less constant action, not stop-and-start things like baseball and US football
-Minimal contact between players
-Accessibility

Soccer is probably the best all-around sport based on those criteria. Supplies include ball, open space. Basketball's close except for the net, whereas football and hockey require way too much gear and are too violent.

Seems like pretty sane criteria, especially about stop-start. I do like hockey, though.

I like uneccessarily violent sports.

Hockey is my absolute favorite because it is more or less a constant flow with awesome violence and fights are allowed. Let's see those pansy futbol players get in a fistfight and then continue playing.

Bah. Hockey is awesome except for the violence and the costs. Accidental injuries on the ice are bad enough...I don't see why fights are considered acceptable at all.

At least we won this year. It's hella fun to watch. Go 'Hawks.
