Re: Music
Look at me, I'm a cleric, I can raise threads from the dead.
Anyways, looking at what I listen to most, in no particular order:
Rammstein
Social Distortion
Drowning Pool
Metallica
Gogol Bordello (Isengoo has the right idea!)
Slayer
Pantera
Bedouin Soundclash
Mike Ness
Johnny Cash
Dean Martin
Dropkick Murphys
The Pogues
ICP
Twitztid
Flobots
Iron Maiden
Lynyrd Skynyrd
Apocalyptica
Slipknot
Yeah... I'm all over the board.
Kinda topic change, but does anyone listen to more atmospheric music when they're playing GEAS? Personally I listen to the soundtracks to Kingdom of Heaven and Medieval II total war... Yeah I know, nerdy.

Re: Music
I actually just discovered Epica after making a Pandora station from Apocalyptica, they're very interesting... more music to listen to while playing.

Learned that shortly after I wrote the note--never realised I had to edit it.Sairina wrote:(@Andreati: Nothing against finnish metal, but they are actually german)

Re: Music
Actually a japanese psychedelic rock/heavy band that was active during the late 60's and early 70's. Supposedly reunited during this year though.
Guess hippies aren't that far off given the time period though.

Re: Music
Escape the Fate
Protest the Hero
Lovehatehero
Bring me the Horizon
Devil Wears Prada
All That Remains
As I Lay Dying
Between the Buried and Me
Blessthefall
Silverstein
This is the small list of bands I like to listen to everyday. There's probably like 20 or 30 more bands I listen to but not as much as these guys.
There's a lot of metal fans here, but not the ones I listen to I guess. But I'm more into the non-mainstream bands. And definitely not artists, though they're okay, but I think they're not that great at all.
But yeah, music that are 'down to earth' and plays concerts in old run down buildings are the ones for me. I tend to ignore those that sings about money, cars and how many times they banged a chick. Especially music that basically has a background music while they sing ... I find that awful =(

Re: Music
I recently found a website that offers free music, not downloadable, but like internet radio. You enter the name of the band/song you want to listen to and they'll play back songs from that band, or that are similar in some way to the band/song.
http://pandora.com/
As far as I've seen, the only bad thing is that you can't skip songs after a certain point, and they can play some stuff that's not necessarily...good.
