Inspiration for new Geas weapons

#1 Post by Naga » Tue Aug 23, 2005 4:41 pm

I was browsing the anthropological collection at a local natural history museum and stumbled upon something you may find quite fascinating:

Image

They are weapons, clubs in fact, fashioned by Alaskan natives some time during the 19th century. The top was used to club fish; the bottom was used to club seals. Both were made from the baculum (penis bone) of the male walrus.

In addition to this photo, I have a number of complicated schematic drawings on napkins that illustrate how bacula might be collected in game and worked into any number of useful things like clubs, furniture, and even dishware. Of course, I don't want to bore you with technical details, so I wait until contacted by an interested wizzie to e-mail scans.

In case you were interested a little in the technical drawings, here's a preview I made for you on MSPaint:

If there is every an opportunity to do combat with a giant boner, I'll just wield mine own, thanks.

Other weapons involving neither genitalia or clubbing baby seals:
  • chakram - death frisbee of Xena and the Punjabi.
    khopesh - Egyptian sickle-sword, a beheader's favorite!
shillelagh - Irish fightin' stick. Compatible with all Irish fightin' songs.
harpoon - two-fisted spear of mayhem. Also catches fish.
tomahawk - versatilty in melee or at range. Not the cruise missile.
atlatl - Aztec spear-hurling device, for when bows are nouveau excessivement.
AK-47 - "When you absolutely, positively got to kill every... err... nibbler in the room"

Somethingtells me Naga even have a home video where he removes manually those penis-bones

Is there a way to post it somewhere into an adult section? Maybe we could organize a curse for Naga. He could insctrut willing volunteers (like me) how to cut out those bones manually or with technical instruments

also this could be an entry test for the amazon guild in GEAS

There are harpoons in already in game.

And as for beating people with giant dead animal penises...
