NAME
teams - groups of players working together
INFORMATION
A team is a group of players who move and work together, normally
with the purpose of killing tough monsters or solving quests.
A team always has a leader. This is the person who invites people
to join him. When a teamleader moves from one location to an other,
all team member who are in the first location follow him. While
moving, the team leader is always front row until the rest of the
team successfully followed.
A team gets higher offensive bonus for each member.

Is teaming an OOC mechanic?

Somewhere between yes and no, leaning towards yes I would say. You can be buddy buddy with your enemy, travel with him and fight alongside with him and depending on if you are teamed or not per code, you get hit with heavier penalties or not. Or that is I think how it works.
Not pretty, no. Personally I tend to cringe when IG laws refer to teaming...or to the thief technique backstab.

If teaming is seen as kind of military training and efficient performance as part of a group as per 'team combat' and if people let themselves be less stuck with the concept of teaming as per code it begins to make more sense.

IC reference of "teaming" makes me cringe, too. Though I, too, am guilty of using it and other OOC mechanic terms ICly when I don't think about it. Something I'm trying to change.

I think it's one of those things you just have to accept.

Is it because you like the idea that things should never change, or because you like the existing system? I've always thought the idea of object to change as a goal unto itself is about the dumbest thing there is.. Or are you some sort of shadowy GEAS aristocrat?

Team, group, party, fellowship, cabal, circle...call it what you will IC
As to the helpfile, it should maybe be changed to say a group of "characters" rather than players, just to be finicky

Edit: File has already been changed to say group of "persons".
