I've been slowing getting the details to this drawing sketched in, but I cant think of anything good to add into the red areas. Maybe some garden ornaments or something? I don't know. My mind is going numb, and I would really appreciate some suggestions.
Opinions please?

For he comes, the human child
To the waters and the wild
With a faery, hand in hand
From a world more full of weeping than he can understand

first thing that popped into my head was a pentagram

Maybe a couple of skulls, too. Could you make them be on fire?Akulli wrote:A pentagram? D:
Edit: more serious answer--a puddle of water? Some evidence of someone passing by, like... a backpack, an old boot?

It really needs a puddle of flame... some evidence of a horrendous battle between demons passing by, like.... a huge demon backpack, an old severed demon footghalt wrote:-a puddle of water? Some evidence of someone passing by, like... a backpack, an old boot?

A small bit of grass. In the middle of it lays an open locket with a broken chain.
Option 2: a frolicky leprechaun with a leaf as an umbrella.

option three: a frolicky demon playing a sick riff on his electric guitar that is plugged into the flower (the flower is using the sun's rad power to provide some insane sound).

This is literally the worst frolicky demon playing a sick riff on his electric guitar that is plugged into a flower that I have ever seen.

Squirrels.anything good to add into the red areas
Oops, OOC, hmm so something more serious I suppose.
Perhaps some insects / ants? A caterpillar? Something that would fit to flowers in a natural environment.
My drawing skills are comparable to those of PO Zehren (or even worse). I compensated for this by drawing completely unrelated things into pictures like smoking rabbits and similar.
Being able to draw that well is quite artistic. Quite a feat.
PS: Or you could always go the weird route like the "Skrik" picture (The Scream) from Edvard Munch http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Edvard_Munch#The_Scream so some tiny bee that could scream like crazy as it notices the flower!
