Housing

Ideas for using coin have been tossed around for ages but this one has remained vague for me atleast.

Is it possible to acquire personal housing in game and if it is, what it will require from both the character and the player?

I believe it is something which the wizards are currently working on D.

If that is so, splendid!

Personally I would very much like there to be ready made houses or apartments that you can customize a bit as well as the option to build your own house somewhere in the wilderness if you supply descriptions and stuff.

I understand there are some housing in the Underground but...well...you know. It is in the Underground. Not a place for the proper elf to be.

There's plenty of room in Elvandar for a little place. Or you could turf out some of the existing NPC families.

AWAY TO YOUR TURNIPS PEASANTS!

If Skragna ever gets a house, it's going to be a hand-built shack. And it's going to be inside the Elvandar walls.

Are those homes in the Underground actually available though? I mean, does any character currently have a home there?

There are absolutely existing player homes with active residents, yes. I've heard that characters of sufficient age and coin can get custom homes, but that was from another player. Personally, I'm with skragna, and want a nice cozy hovel.

I doubt the city planners will allow a shack. Maybe put some tinsel on it. There is a strict prettiness policy :D

Okay, okay, fine. A gem-encrusted, hand-built, crappy shack.
