Chara already told us about your intentions and sent us a summary of the talk she had with you. Since then it was only a question of catching you in the game while having enough time for a talk.
Which email address did you try? admin@geas.de ?PS: I did try emailing, but for some reason my email bounced as "undeliverable".

yeah i never played this game when there was a gigantic playerbase. but right now with a small playerbase of around 20-30 active people i actually think its quite great, you always know whose who and you get a chance to really know lots of the characters. im just wondering from your experiences, what are muds like with 50+ people on a day. doesnt it get a bit annoying because with a larger playerbase you wouldnt know much of who is who and things might get confusing.
in your experience how have they been for roleplay enforced muds?

I think its a great idea to increase the amount of active players in Geas. I first started when Geas had a 'big' amount of active players at a time, and now 20 seems lots now-a-days. I think it would be nice to have lots more players on again. When I was new, there was always lots of people around (when the crossing was a popular spot to rest) and theres always someone to team up with or talk to who wasnt influenced anyway by guilds.
Now, most players are in a major guild and their duties and jobs kind of interfere with new players, and might not be able to interract with them as much. Having more people can open up more chances for new players to team with and have more fun.
Would be quite interesting to have alot of people on at once, harder to stay 'hidden' or keep tract of whats going on at times =D

Of course it's better to have a larger playerbase.
The question is why is the player base lower than before, and why new players aren't staying.
Answer and fix this, and you get more players. I'd love to see huge groups of Sathos and Crusaders, even if they are extremists (funny to laugh at ooc. "Burn you nibbler butchering demon worshipper newbie!" ).

Well, as someone who keeps trying to get into the game and failing, I can offer my reasons for these repeated failures.
ONE: It's too hard to join anything. Scribes, priests - there's a reason the only character I play regularly is my fighter, and that's because I don't have to rely on somebody else being logged in and willing to talk to them. Most leaders that I've heard of are fairly inactive, as well, which doesn't help.
TWO: This is related to point one, but there's no documentation on anything in-game. I know I, like many text-game players, rely on word of mouth to find out about new games, such as this one - which means I was given a port and address to connect to. While I can alt-tab between window and game as well as anyone, it's far more convenient for everybody if I can just get some information IG.
THREE:Lack of documentation on how it all works together. For example, I've asked, OOC, on an alt, how to get more miracles three times, and been given three skills that were the 'only stat that affects which miracles you have.'
Those are three large problemss with the game at this point - and I don't mean for this to sound like 'OMG YOUR GAME SUX', because it obviously doesn't - after all, I keep coming back, don't I?

2.
I don't understand your # 2. Isn't that help files? Or do you mean all the political stuff(like Sathos vs Crusaders... What Shaolin are... Rangers, Clerics)? or do you mean how to join guilds and stuff? Alot of this can be found out easily in-game and in character. Just confused a bit what you're talking about.

No, it really can't be found easily. I've had two characters that I made, and subsequently abandoned, try to join the scribes and rangers respectively. For the scribes, finding out was relatively easy - I got told, literally, 'Find a Masterscribe who wants apprentices.' I was then given a couple of names, and told that they 'Weren't around much these days.'
The rangers, I was literally told 'Find a ranger and ask them.' I asked how I would know what one looked like, did they have any distinctive items, both IC and OOC, and was ignored. I don't know if that's what you meant by 'can be easily found out in-game', but 'wander around and ask random people if they know anything about the rangers' isn't what I'd call finding anything easily.
I agree that once one knows about the various groups, finding out their stances on one another is easy and simple. Of course, I don't really think there's much by way of advertising what groups are available (I'm sorry, but telling me the org name and that nobody can be bothered to write a short paragraph describing it on the site really doesn't count in my book).

Well, I can imagine that this is pretty much frustrating, but I also have to say, that the time is simply problematic. We have summer, what means that a lot of normally active players is not much around. So therefore I cannot offer you a solution besides mailing ingame to the characters you got told and ask them via mudmail. This way the players at least get a message that there's someone who wants to join their guild

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.

Mudmail would definitely help. As a masterscribe myself, running into me by chance without having arranged a meeting would likely be hard to do, as I don't really play anymore unless I have something that needs to be done (blegh to responsibilities). However, I check my mail often enough, which would make it easier to meet, since I'd then keep an eye out for the person in question. Time zones might become an issue with some cases, though, since not all players can always be on at the time of others.
But remember that just because someone's not seen around often, doesn't mean they're actually never around. Tessa is a bit (okay, a lot) of a hermit, and I know a few other characters (a fellow masterscribe and a ranger packmaster among them) with a similiar quality.
Another thing is, don't give up too quick. There is one character that I intended to accept into the Scribes when I had time, and then never saw that person again. After about a week of searching, I gave up hope.
