okay well i know the basic archery commands
"load bow with elven arrow" "load bow with arrow"
"shoot at _____"

1. what is the archery helpfile?
2. ^^ is there one?
3. how do i shoot at something at a direction
eg. hyena is southeast, what is the command id use to shoot at it.
4. helpfile?
5. are there any other commands id need to know?

Oh I have question too.

Let's say you wanted to use a sling. What rocks do you use and where do you get them?

I haven't used slings myself, but I've heard that they utilize the round pebbles which are obtained from mining. Again though, I have no personal experience with using one so don't take my word for it.

So anyways, I forget if there is one or not. I think there is? I cant remember. But you basically got the commands for missile.

<load bow with arrow from quiver>
<load bow with arrow>
<shoot at enemy>
<shoot -direction- at hyena>

Thats all I know or the basic ones I guess.

As for the slingshot... I have tried it a LONG time ago when I had nothing else to do. Apparently its either the round? smooth? normal-sized? or medium-sized? pepple. One of those. Not the porous, different sized pebbles, etc. So try one of those four I listed. And then the commands are basically the same as the missile commands

Is there a significant difference between bows and crossbows? Do crossbows hit harder? Do one of them have shorter load times?

If there isnt a difference there should be, imo.

Shortbows are the fastest weakest penetration
Long bows are the moderate load time moderate penetration
Crossbows have the longest best penetration

damage for each is clearly equivalent to penetration. this is from my experience.
