Is it possible to be past the optimal deflect, (not shown as astrics)?

I think if the bar is maxed, it is maxed, meaning with a full bar you make full use of your deflect skill.

Yes, the maxinum is 100%. That means that can use you full deflect skill. But is says not how good your deflect work. 50% with a high deflect skill is more than 100% with a skill of 1.
