I wonder what the usefulness of quivers are? Without them, I have 17% volume. With them, I have 19%.. I think there should be an advantage for using them, not a pentalty..

Perhaps arrows could be significantly lighter when carried via quiver than in the inventory, similar to how instruments are less burdening when worn/held rather than just carried.

But as it is now, yes, it is almost more burdening to have a quiver than simply carry the arrows in one's inventory, and there doesn't seem to be any consequences for doing it the latter way.

carryinkg a bunch of arrows or bolts should be pretty.... cumbersome... i think quivers should give a bonus.

My bow fits within my quiver, but not my backpack. So there's that.

Let's not let the code warp the game reality... :|

I do agree that quivers should provide a bonus to volume. At the moment, however, it's good to know that they add more RP realism than floating arrows that you can load your bow with. It's more fun to watch your character reach over his shoulder to grab an arrow.

Actually, I've seen lots of medieval depictions of quivers specifically shaped to hold a bow stave.

Sure, if that's what the quiver's built for. I just don't think that these are made for that.

Well, I just don't think that it's a stretch of the imagination.

I have a ranger type character who has simply forgone the use of a quiver because it is too much of a burden to hide and sneak well with it. How un-intuitive is that? Quivers should weigh less, have much less volume, and since they are built specifically to hold arrows, should greatly reduce the weight and volume of arrows.

Now, if there were a special quiver that was designed to hold a bow as well as arrows, but was more costly or some such thing, I couldn't disagree with that.

Maybe the ammount of something you are carrying should affect encumberance more. I mean, how awkward would it be to be holding 50 arrows, and trying to load a bow at the same time?

With the next reboot the quiver will give a small volume boni.
Beside this, there is already a small boni for quiver-user. Loading form a quiver is a bit quicker as loadling direct from the inventory.
