arresting and trees

arresting and trees
the current situation for arresting someone is a tree is interesting. the person that is under arrest can break from his arrestor by simply jump down from the tree. to me this makes sense because well if i was holding someones arms in a tree, and they decided to jump, id let go, good luck with that 10 metre fall. however. my real question was if someone you are hunting goes unconscious in a tree is it possible to pull them down from the tree and arrest them on the ground (so they can't just jump from the tree) so they have less of a chance to escape? thanks in advance
