Re: Absence
Last night my computer screen went all wonky. I'm hoping its a software problem, but I'm afraid its a hardware problem. One that might just cost more than I can afford at the moment, considering I'm still unemployed. I have gotten wind of a job lead, but I'm not going to hold my breath considering the economy in my neck of the woods. All of my info and notes are on my laptop, and right now all I can use is the slow, obsolete 'family' desktop.
So long story short, I'm going to be missing for the near future, and hopefully not any longer than that.

Well, I spoke too soon. I brought my laptop to the repair shop, and while he couldn't fix it then and there, he was able to tell me that it was a problem with the monitor, and showed me how to hook up an external monitor to it so that I could still use the laptop until he would be able to fix it, sometime next week. He also gave me an estimate on the price, and I was surprised to find out that it was something I could afford. Yay for small-town repairmen. I know if I went to a certain big box store with a certain computer 'repair' service counter they would have charged me to look at it, and never would have told me how to rig it to work until they could fix it properly.

I'm finding it hard to find time to log in. There's a lot going on in my life right now. I don't know when I'll be able to play consistently again, but I may still pop in from time to time.

I've found gameplay a little frustrating lately, so I'm taking a break.

Re: Absence
Hey, school's about to end and I'm considering going back to playing abit. What's been going on? I'm trying to figure out what type of character to play. I got a few options: crusader guild, sathonys cleric guild, or lilithian.
I'm one of those players who naturally start things and causes issues. Anyone need some help?
Thoughts?
Thanks!

Re: Absence
Hey Drayn, how's the rules and stuff for taniel clerics? Are there suffocating rules and such, or is it pretty chill?

Hmmm.....suffocatingly chilly perhaps?
There's obviously rules, you can't follow the god of rules without having rules But it's not too bad, I think the crusade actually have more rules than us.

Re: Absence
It depends on what you mean by "suffocating". Being the player to one of the leaders of that guild, my philosophy has always been to let people do what they want. Much becase I once played a character in a guild where I was constantly told what to do.. e.g. "go here, guard this, do that, fight this, scout here".. So if you want to play a sage-type, noble elf, sit around and write books, go into pvp, engage in herbalism, aid worker, preacher-prophet or an evil inquisitor-type hellbound on rooting out evil... etc,etc,etc.. then in my eyes you are free to do so and nobody will stop you. There are plenty of ways of playing a taniel cleric.
The only thing you would really need to follow would be the things that are provided by the game, such as the codex, some holy texts and such. And then obvious stuff such as avoid cannibalism, looting, backstab, dishonesty, etc, etc, etc. But that comes pretty natural from playing a goodie.
Ewelyn might require you to be polite, show good manners and perhaps a bit of loyalty/seriousness.. but should be pretty easy

I started a new job for over the summer that requires me to be up at normal people time, so I probably won't be on late nights US time like I have been. May be on a little less than usual too, but we'll see.

Re: Absence
I'll be around but a bit less as has been evident of late. Between work, band practice and summer of crazy 2012 my attentions have become somewhat divided.
