Re: Absence
Going on indefinite hiatus, because I find the game suffers from severe OOC distrust amongst the playerbase. Warranted or not, it's a heavy atmosphere and not one I can be bothered to deal with. It's RP and should be collaborative - nothing exists IC except by player acceptance - but the past three months or so feel like there's been heavy OOC competition and negativity etc. So: So long for now, and thanks for the fun, where it's been

Distrust always is a major bringdown. I have played through several waves of those...usually things get a little competetive first, then emotions flare up, feeling get hurt for one reason or the other, competitiveness ramps up and everyone is suddenly viewed as a potential enemy out to get you. Heck, the OOC drama that has happened is pretty out there with enough tinfoil to wrap around eternities with
Play good, play nice and remember to take breaks if it gets into your heads too much. It is only a game.

Re: Absence
Peace out ya'll.
I keep wanting to play geas and play a fun game.
Every friggin time, things fall all to pieces. In the past it's been just... people I'd describe as pretty hateful, so it was easy for me to personally blame those individual people, warranted or not.
This time, it's people that seem individually to be fine people, but put us all in geas and it's a hatematch. I'm beginning to think the common shared factor is the game. Or maybe just when you put us all together we make each other worse?
From my point of view, I've watched my friends who just really enjoyed playing the game and their characters be constantly boxed in and shoved into a smaller corner while people call them bullies. This has been great. Super excellent. It's also apparently what a large part of the community wanted? Maybe we were the bad guys. I don't know, but for me, it doesn't matter anymore because the cons of this place just vastly outweigh the pros and have for some time.
Ya'll have fun with it.
